10% of all aged care homes site audited in three months

266 site audits were conducted between April and June by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. With the new set of expected outcomes in play 57 aged care homes, or 21.4% of those sites audited, did not meet the new standards.

4.5% of the 266 sites (12 aged care homes) were identified as in the ‘serious risk decision’ category. Given the Royal commission emphasis on data and management, the most frequent areas of unmet outcomes were: Information Systems: 35 - 13% Human resources management: 35 - 13% You can download the summary report HERE.
