13 COVID-19 deaths amid 53 new outbreaks in residential aged care

As of 27 July, there were 732 active COVID-19 cases in 131 active outbreaks in residential aged care facilities across Australia, which is a slight fall on the previous week.

Resident and staff cases, outbreaks and deaths are continuing to trend downwards. 

However, that does not mean the sector is not still being impacted by the pandemic – aged care and home care operators are still having to contend with heightened infection control measures, such as masks and RAT testing requirements.


The SOURCE: Infection control measures coupled with delays in Government COVID subsidy payments mean the pandemic is still posing a significant operational and financial burden on aged care and home care operators.
