The 11-storey, 18-unit development at 49 Brougham Place in North Adelaide had been approved in February last year, but the developer is now selling the 1,530sm site, according to Adelaide Now. In a submission to the State Commission Assessment Panel, planner Phillip Brunning said “extensive market research” had led to the change from retirement living under a lease arrangement to apartments for sale under community title. The original plan for the site – called 52 Brougham Place – had four buildings up to 15 storeys high, with nearly 100 retirement living units spread across three of the buildings plus a fourth building housing 11 serviced apartments. The other three retirement towers are not for sale.
