A development application for senior housing under the NSW Government’s State Environmental Planning Policy, or SEPP 5, has been submitted to Northern Beaches Council in Sydney. The applicant for the $4.7 million development is Daniel Michael McNamara, of BPG Holdings, who seeks to build six three-bedroom independent living units with terraces in a residential street off Barrenjoey Road at Newport, 31km north of Sydney’s CBD. In the basement, there will be two car parking spaces for each apartment. A small number of neighbours have expressed opposition to the plan.
