The $68 million third stage of Brookfield Asset Management’s Aveo Carindale, 16km east of Brisbane’s CBD, has begun construction. To meet demand, the third stage will see a further 100 independent living apartments built, comprising one-, two- and three-bedroom units across nine residential levels of a 10-storey building. Once the six-stage $220-plus million development is complete, Aveo Carindale retirement community will deliver 431 independent living apartments plus a residential aged care facility.

“Aveo Carindale is currently home to 154 residents, and provides a great sense of community and belonging,” said Tony Randello, Aveo CEO.  “As well as providing an abundant social calendar, wellbeing services will also remain a focus for us within this community. We want to ensure that residents can access support and care services as and when needed. Aveo Carindale offers the services of a visiting GP, allied health care professionals, home care services and will have the convenience of a co-located aged care facility should residents need higher care.”

Completion of stage three is anticipated by July 2023, with the final stage due to be completed by 2029.
