ACSA partners up to provide ‘risk’ training programs to aged care leaders

Is this driven by the Royal Commission? The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and Aged & Community Services Australia (ACSA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will allow members of both organisations to benefit from educational resources designed to improve their governance and leadership practise. A range of training programs will be available for directors and executives of aged care organisations, using recent institutional failures to demonstrate key lessons learned from those events – including the ‘Governing to Protect Vulnerable People’ program developed by AICD in 2018. The programs will focus on creating a culture of accountability among aged care leaders. Hear more on risk in residential aged care at our LEADERS SUMMIT (21-22 March at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney).
