Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews confirmed 113 new cases in his daily update on Thursday, down from Wednesday’s total of 149 new cases.
The state has seen 23 new deaths, with 22 linked to aged care.
This includes a man in his 60s, a woman and four men in their 70s, six women and three men in their 80s and five women and three men in their 90s.
Of the state’s 3,308 active cases, 1,412 have been linked to aged care settings.
"In general terms, we have seen some stability come to aged care settings. That is a good thing but it's by no means over," Mr Andrews said.
The major aged care outbreaks include:
- 211 cases linked to Epping Gardens Aged Care in Epping (no new cases since Wednesday)
- 197 cases have been linked to St Basil’s Homes for the Aged in Fawkner (2 new cases since Wednesday)
- 169 cases linked to BaptCare Wyndham Lodge Community in Werribee (no new cases since Wednesday)
- 160 cases linked to Estia Aged Care Facility in Ardeer (1 new case since Wednesday)
- 140 cases linked to Kirkbrae Presbyterian Homes in Kilsyth (2 new cases since Wednesday)
- 120 cases linked to Cumberland Manor Aged Care Facility in Sunshine North (no new cases since Wednesday)
- 118 cases since to Twin Parks Aged Care in Reservoir (no new cases since Wednesday)
- 113 cases linked to Outlook Gardens Aged Care Facility in Dandenong North (no new cases since Wednesday)
- 112 cases have been linked to Japara Goonawarra Aged Care Facility in Sunbury (1 new case since Wednesday)
- 110 cases have been linked to Estia Aged Care Facility in Heidelberg (1 new case since Tuesday)
The number of Victorians in hospital is down to 532, from Wednesday’s total of 578.
There are 29 patients in intensive care, with 11 in ICU.
