The private aged care operator, which has 30 homes in Perth and in the southwest of Western Australia, has announced it will build an eight-story, state-of-the-art facility in Joondalup, 26km north of Perth's CBD.
The new facility will build on Aegis Health's experience with the Murdoch Square health precinct, 12km south of Perth's CBD, which opened in late July. The $450 million, 1.2ha development, includes an 80-bed Medi-Hotel, mental health service, private hospital and 137-bed aged care facility operated by Aegis Health.
The Jooondalup site will include a residential aged care facility, general practice, and other medical services.
Aegis Aged Care Group was founded in 1983 and is the largest, privately owned residential aged care operator in WA.
