Aged care COVID-19 cases jump 76% in a fortnight

COVID-19 cases in residential aged care continue to rise. As of 20 April 2023, there were 2,661 active cases in 375 aged care homes. The previous week there were 2,043 cases, marking a 30% increase over the week, impacting 302 homes. And the prior week there were 1,513 cases, meaning cases have jumped 76% in a fortnight.
