Aged care facility to be part of massive new Sunshine Coast hotel, retail and park development

Listed property developer Abacus Funds Management has lodged an application to redevelop the Brisbane Road carpark as a residential and retail precinct, with an aged care facility, full-sized supermarket, shopping centre, hotel, bar, indoor sport and recreation complex and 1,000 car spaces.

Council says the application had come after lengthy negotiations with the developer – was the aged care facility at their request then?
