Aged care insurance to be considered by new Senate Inquiry
A new Senate Inquiry will look into the issue of insurance through Australians' life cycle, including aged care insurance as a means to "futureproof" the aged care system.

A new Senate Inquiry will look into the issue of insurance through Australians' life cycle, including aged care insurance as a means to "futureproof" the aged care system. This Inquiry will be conducted by the Senate Economics References Committee, said NSW Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg. While an insurance was not a recommendation of the Aged Care Royal Commission, insurance-style products to help fund aged care were part of the discussion about aged care funding during the Royal Commission. The Inquiry is expected to report by 30 June 2024.
