A select group of Estia Health aged care residents have enjoyed a special day out to watch the Richmond Hawthorn AFL match, viewing from the comfort of Foxtel’s private box at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
A mix of Estia Health Hawthorn and Richmond fans were in attendance, finding common ground as they enjoyed the corporate hospitality and premium view of the game.

The game was a nailbiter, with Richmond staging a comeback in the final quarter to win 14.12 (96) - 15.5 (95) after falling behind by 30 points at one stage.
Sylwia Kadziolka, Residential Aged Care Manager at Estia Health Bentleigh, said, “Today has been a great and nostalgic experience for Robyn from our Estia Health Glen Waverley home. Robyn spends so much time indoors and to travel into the MCG has been a fantastic experience for her.

“Robyn is a Richmond supporter and it’s been 30 years since she was last at the footy.”
Blake Cordell, Lifestyle Assistant at Estia Health Melton South, said, “As soon as Marty (a lifelong Hawthorn supporter) was told he’d be coming to the footy he was thrilled. It was the happiest I’d ever seen him. It’s also the first time he’s ever been to the footy in a suite and he’ll remember it for a long time.”
The SOURCE: Well done to the Estia Health and Foxtel teams coming up with such a special day out.
