The Knowles family, who made their first fortune when they sold their village portfolio to Stockland in 2007, have now built Australias largest private residential care group, Arcare. They have 27 facilities with 2,600 beds.
They have just announced they will build a $20m facility in Townsville, having purchased a 1 ha site in North Shore, a Stockland master planned community.
