Attention retirement living operators: two more clubs follow Cronulla RSL in seeking joint venture development partners

With more than one bid for a retirement living development in the running as a joint venture partner for Cronulla RSL, Societie Group is seeking developers for its clubs Engadine RSL, 16km south of Sydney’s CBD, and Fingal Bay Sports, in the retirement living mecca of Port Stephens. 

Societie Group, formally known as Ramsgate RSL Group, has already undertaken preliminary investigations, and are now seeking experienced developers to submit their expression of interest to work alongside the club. 

ClubEngadine RSL, which covers about 5,000sqm of commercially zoned land with favourable development overlays, is being offered separately or in one line with fellow Societie Club, Fingal Bay Sports Club, which sits on about 2.45ha. It is zoned RE2: Private Recreation, which allows for a range of permitted uses including accommodation and commercial facilities (STCA).  

“Our proactive board has made considerable progress in regard to their understanding of the potential development opportunities on our doorstep and we are ready to take the next step. 

“We aim to incorporate existing club operations with proposed future uses which will complement and enhance our club's offering,” Societie Group Chief Executive David Moorcroft said. 

Like Cronulla RSL, the offer is being handled by property advisors Suburbanite.
