Attention VIC village operators: Consumer Affairs Victoria inspecting villages

Law firm Russell Kennedy is warning that CAV is currently inspecting villages to ensure their documentation is compliant, focusing on:

• The welcome packs provided to prospective and new village residents, including the factsheet, disclosure statement, residence contracts, village plans, details of the complaints/disputes resolution document and complaints register; and
• Copies of recent AGM minutes to ensure that any complaints made during the previous year have been reported on to the residents.
