Aura Holdings plans a 32-floor vertical retirement village on the Gold Coast

Aura Holdings’ Co-Founder and Director Tim Russell has revealed the retirement village operator has a new undeveloped site at the northern end of Queensland’s Gold Coast.

“I can say that we have a site on the northern end of the Gold Coast for 94 high-end apartments. We have done very well on the southern end. I can’t say anything more at this stage,” said Tim.

It is, in fact, Laura Gnibus’ land at Budds Beach, which previously had approval for a 46-storey high residential tower. Now she’s shaken hands on an $8.226 million deal with Aura Holdings.

Aura will, subject to development approval, construct a building with 94 apartments, including sub-penthouses and penthouses.

“We are selling six properties a month at Somerset Indooroopilly and we are very happy with how the medium density project is going,” said Tim.

Somerset Indooroopilly’s two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom penthouses are priced from $750,000 to $1.6 million. A northeast-facing penthouse of 260msq with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two parking spaces is “price on application.”
