The QLD Australian aged care quality agency state manager, Tracy Rees, gave a presentation at the LASA Q conference last month detailing results over 10 years. She clarified “that there is no discernible difference at an industry level in (not-for-profit and private operators’) performance at audit at all”.

This year 95% of care facilities were expected to meet 44 measurements required for accreditation. This compares with 64% 15 years ago.

With 2688 care facilities being audited only 24 were under review.
