The race is on. With the government introduction of consumer directed care in just 20 weeks time, leading village operators are aggressively reshaping their business strategies.

They understand two things. Future village residents will demand care services or opt to stay at home. And there is not enough care providers now let alone in the future to service demand so build partnerships and resources now or miss out.

To understand the options and strategies adopted by the leading operators we have assembled eight significant speakers at our LEADERS SUMMIT who are ahead of this game. They are:

Chas Jacobsen; the pioneer of the Australian village industry and our most successful village operator. 12 months ago he opened his 160 bed co-located care facility and now he is building another, plus an innovative care service.

Patrick Smith; his successful creation of Freedom Care -privately funded aged care supplied under a retirement village contract - is the basis of his new and already successful high rise apartment venture.

Michael Eggington; CEO of Lend Lease Retirement, he will have care partnerships in place by December to service 15,000 village units nationally, together with new revenue streams.

Danielle Robertson; CEO of Australia’s only national home care provider, DIAL-AN-ANGEL, she is aggressively building her business with mergers to capture rare capacity.

Andrew Larpent; CEO of Southern Cross Care SA & NT, he pioneered care partnerships in the UK and is already building Private/NFP care service ventures in villages here.

Valerie Lyons; Australia’s most experienced Not For Profit village and care CEO and now leader of Uniting AgeWell, she has a mandate to reshape her business for the next 20 years.

Rob Freeman; five years ago he swapped his CEO position in a top 200 Corporation for the job of leading Anglican Retirement Villages. The organisation is redeveloping existing villages and aggressively preparing its home care services under Consumer Direct Care.

Jim Hazel; the veteran banking and village operations CEO of the sector, he has in the last 18 months established Omega Communities to deliver an assisted care model under retirement village contracts.

All up the LEADERS SUMMIT will present 32 speakers delivering real business content on marketing, property, finance, legislation, product trends and more. Check the programme HERE. Two days for $1,750 including our exclusive private hatted networking dinners. 19-20 March, Sydney.
