Carinity’s new Brownesholme aged care home wins QLD building award

Carinity’s $32 million The Residences at Brownesholme aged care home has won a Queensland Master Builders Housing and Construction Award. Opened last year, the 96-bed home constructed by Paynters took top honours in the Community Accommodation for Aged Care and Nursing Homes category of the 2022 Downs and Western Housing and Construction Awards. Featuring a country homestead design, the home – which adjoins the existing Carinity Brownesholme retirement village – includes elements such as courtyards, lounges with gas fireplaces, and gardens.

“Paynters provided an end-to-end solution for Carinity, from initial master planning and in-house architectural services, all the way through to the engagement of our Interior Design team. The results are truly stunning. “The team at Carinity has always been a reliable partner that we can confidently delve into the buildability with, to deliver well-functioning and aesthetically pleasing facilities,” said Paynters Director John McCafferty.

Paynters has built three other aged care communities for Carinity, at Townsville, Brookfield, and the Gold Coast.
