Catholic Healthcare’s Villa Maria Centre in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley officially opened

Catholic Healthcare’s refurbished heritage-listed Villa Maria (Residential Aged Care) Centre in Fortitude Valley, 1.6km north-east of Brisbane CBD, has been officially opened and blessed by the Archbishop of Brisbane, The Most Reverend Mark Coleridge.

Villa Maria Centre now accommodates 127 residents and has a memory support unit, a Chapel built in the 1920s, a gym, hairdressing salon, library and an outdoor garden for residents and families to enjoy. The new rooms, all with a bathroom ensuite, range from 25.4msq to 33msq in size per room.

The Official Opening included addresses by Dr Peter Steane MSC, Chair of Trustees; Belinda Moyes, Interim CEO; Stephen Teulan, Board Chair Designate, Catholic Healthcare.
