The registered NSW club, which has approval to build a $36.2 million seniors living complex, has failed to win support to avoid paying almost $500,000 in developer contributions.
In addition, the club at Long Jetty 105km north-northeast of Sydney’s CBD, has lodged an application to make several amendments to its approved seniors living proposal including increasing the number of three-bedroom units from two units to 17 and reducing the overall number of units from 89 to 87.
The club sought amendments on its developer contributions, claiming it should not have to pay more than $424,000 in levies under The Entrance District Contributions Plan and the Shire Wide Development Infrastructure Contribution Plan.
Central Coast Council state the total contributions for 87 units is calculated at $1,289,030.
The amended plans must be determined by the Panel, which cannot make any decision that might reasonably have a financial impact on council without a council resolution determining its stance. The Panel will be advised of council’s decision.
