Chris Hall has quit as Chair of the Department of Health and Aged Care’s Aged Care Workforce Remote Accord (ACWRA), which is tasked with delivering aged care services in remote and very remote areas. Chris’s decision follows his retirement as CEO of Juniper, the Not For Profit residential aged care provider of the Uniting Church in WA, a role he had held since 2018. Praveen Gopal, Executive Director of Sydney-based strategic solutions business VeenCare Solution, has been appointed Interim Chair. He has been serving as Deputy Chair of the Aged Care Workforce Remote Accord. The Accord’s national executive is based at Uniting Care Australia in Canberra. It has been in operation since 2018 with the aim of achieving an “adequate and appropriately trained and supported workforce” to meet the needs of seniors in remote and very remote communities. Chris will remain on the national executive until the commencement of his replacement as Juniper CEO later this year.
