Community Housing Queensland lodge plans for 196 over 55s homes in West Gladstone

Six three-storey apartment buildings, with one- and two-bedroom apartments, will make up 162 of the total units if approved by Gladstone Regional Council.   

In addition, there will be 26 single-storey villas, also with one or two bedrooms, and its own undercover car parking space. 

The development is on a 5ha block of land, which is part of the master-planned Philip St Communities and Families Precinct, which brings together community groups and service providers in a parkland setting.   

Floor plans of the apartments show each unit would have its own balcony, with ground level units having a small garden area. There would also be a block for four commercial tenants and a support services building.
