Last week we mentioned that Arcadia Communities is building one of the largest retirement villages in the country; called Hidden Valley, its at Wallan, outside of Melbourne.
We have more detail all up they are planning 537 retirement village units plus 50 resort units. This almost matches The Village Glen in Mornington in size - which has taken 30 years grow to our largest village with approximate 620 units.
On top of this Arcadia has plans to build a 140 bed residential care facility and an $8 million resort clubhouse - to complement its 18 hole championship golf course. This outdoes Chas Jacobsens The Village Glen, which has just a nine hole golf course.
