The Wauchope RSL Club is behind the development, which will feature 15 single-story independent living units and was approved by the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council this month. Wauchope is located on NSW’s far north coast – 2.5 hours north of Newcastle. According to The Wauchope Gazette, the club now plans to obtain a construction certificate with a view to go out to tender to build the development. The construction phase, including the associated road works, civil works and services upgrades, is expected to take roughly 12 months.
