Date for revised COVID-19 claims extended to 30 June 2023 – closing soon

The final deadline for lodging revised COVID-19 Aged Care Support Program Extension grant claims, extended to 30 June 2023, is closing soon. The grant (GO4863) grant reimburses aged care providers for the costs of managing COVID-19 outbreaks between 28 May 2021 and 31 December 2022.

Under the grant assessment process, when a provider identifies an error, missed claim, or received a late invoice from a vendor, they have been able to revise their application for consideration on a case-by-case basis.

The date for finalising claims is now 30 June 2023. The revisions have contributed to ongoing delays in processing claims, with ASX-listed Estia Health and Japara Healthcare both noting delays in the payments had impacted their bottom line. More information is available HERE.
