Department delays aged care provider preview of finance and operations information

On Monday, the Department of Health and Aged Care wrote to providers to inform them the provider preview of finance and operations information has been delayed. The provider preview of finance and operations information will be made available through the Government Provider Management System (GPMS), the Government's IT system that is supposed to make it easier for providers to share information with the Department. It's not the first time the GPMS has experienced problems. In December 2023, the Department advised residential aged care providers to look closely at their care minute targets after an “administrative error” saw the wrong minutes published for some services. In July 2023, Star Rating provider previews were “temporarily paused” by the Department to address “a technical issue”. The SOURCE contacted the Department of Health for more information but at the time of publishing had not received a response.
