Developer Willow Grove unveils plans for over 55s retirement village in Gympie, QLD

The proposal is for 190 two-bedroom single-storey villas, ranging from 157msq to 184msq, on 7ha of vacant land directly adjacent to Willow Grove’s existing land lease community in Southside, a suburb of Gympie, 171km north of Brisbane.

The two larger villa-types have double garages, with the smaller having a single garage.

Indoor bowling facilities, a cinema, a games room, a swimming pool, a gym, and a library and wine room would also feature in the development.

The development application is before Gympie Regional Council.

The SOURCE: Census figures show that more than 21,900 people aged 55 or older now call Gympie home.
