Evette Moran: Is the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner guilty of Orwellian overreach?

In the latest SATURDAY magazine, Evette Moran, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Mark Moran Group, writes The Last Word after one of her homes was visited by an assessor from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

“We need to remember that the Commission is legislated to support industry, not to destroy staff and operators,” Evette writes. “If this service is now under attack on staffing levels, despite the facility’s 25% staffing level over and above the Royal Commission’s recommended level, in the end it will be our elders who suffer deeply and we cannot, in good conscience, be party to that,”
