With the first settlement expected any day, Adrian Puljich's land lease company has finally been allowed by Tweed Shire Council in Far North NSW to build its manufactured homes on site at its Tweed Waters development in Tweed Heads South.
The council had used Section 82 of the Local Government Act 1993 to force GemLife to bring the housing structures into the site on a truck.
As part of its fifth application to build onsite rather than offsite as the regulation requires, GemLife successfully proposed to install temporary acoustic barriers in the northeastern part of the property.
The expected construction/installation time frame for each relocatable dwelling would comprise approximately 14 weeks per single storey home and 30 weeks per two-storey home.
GemLife is working on five land lease communities with an announcement soon its site at Moreton Bay in QLD.
