The community-based Not For Profit has appointed Glenn Rappensberg (pictured above, right) as its new CEO, effective 8 January 2024. Glenn has 35 years of experience in the human services sector, including in both clinical and administrative roles, and as a CEO in the health, disability and community services sectors, including for local government. Glenn acknowledged in a statement the challenges facing aged care in the years ahead, including the implementation of the new Aged Care Act and new Aged Care Quality Standards.
“Change brings opportunity,” he said. “Together, with my depth of experience and the combined expertise of the Doutta Galla team, we will navigate these challenges, uphold our values, and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.”
Prior to joining Doutta Galla, Glenn was CEO of Boandik Lodge Incorporated, a South Australian aged care provider. He takes over from former CEO Vanda Iaconese (pictured left) who retired in November 2023 after a decade in the role. Doutta Galla operates eight aged care homes and two retirement villages in Victoria, and delivers home care services in Melbourne.
