The Daily Tele is reporting that the group of nine nurses from Allity’s Red leaf manor home in concord want a designated number of nurses and carers on each shift plus a 3% pay rise. The NSW Nurse and Midwives Association said the home had been “stringing out” a new enterprise agreement which was delayed by 18 months. However, Allity says that nurses received a pay increase of 2.35% last month. We note that their demands match those of New Zealand’s aged care nurses who have been striking there.
