Details of latest Aged Care Taskforce meeting communique

The Aged Care Taskforce has issued its third communique, summarising the meeting held on 22 August in Brisbane. Members considered the financial performance of the sector, increasing costs and the expected increased demand for aged care services in the coming decades, the communique states. The Taskforce also discussed home care, covering topics such as the complexities of the system, and how to support independence and safety in the home. The SOURCE reached out to the Minister for Aged Care Anika Wells’ office to find out who attended the August meeting but did not receive a response in time for publication.
