Lifestyle Communities vilified by resident on ABC 7.30 turns to “contented” homeowners

It was in July when ABC 7.30 engaged in activism journalism, targeting the ASX-listed over 55s land lease operator with Lifestyle Wollert homeowner Geoff Gauci, a retired police officer, likened it and the contract he signed to “a financial prison”.

It hurt the business. The share price has fallen 46% and Managing Director and Co-Founder James Kelly (pictured) will retire at the end of the year. There is currently a “Big Spring Sale” of empty homes. 

The attack by the taxpayer-funded ABC was unbalanced and factually questionable, and Lifestyle Communities has commenced its fight back. 

It has launched a series of videos of homeowners, espousing why they live at Lifestyle Communities.
