Maggie Beer committed to improve the food in aged care

SA celebrity chef Maggie Beer has joined the state government’s “Country Health SA” to champion fresh, high quality and better presented food in care facilities. She says she wants to “bring a much needed change to the regional aged care homes’ approach to food”.

Beer states she developed her passion for this cause after being named the 2010 South Australian of the Year. “Good food is important to everyone, but more so for someone who has limited control over their future”.
