QLDs The Village Groups retirement village in Brisbane suburb of Cooparoo was named the winner of the national UDIA Presidents award for Best development in Australia. This means it was judged as a better development than any other in Australia for the past 12 months.
Called The Village at Cooparoo, with one tower still to be constructed, the village was also named Australias Best Seniors Living project.
A veteran residential builder, Michael Harrison and his son Justin launched the village group 15 years ago and now has four villages in the greater Brisbane area. They have been successful in low to medium rise village developments ahead of the market.
