New Australian TV series featuring retirement village set to air in February

Dame Harriet Walter, Frances O’Connor and Noni Hazlehurst will join an all-star cast in ‘The End’, a dark comedy due to make its Australian TV debut in February.

The 10-episode drama, produced by Foxtel, will explore three generations of family at different stages of life, including one about to enter a retirement village.

Foxtel executive director of television, Brian Walsh says he expects the series to be a hit and spark national conversation on important themes.

“At times confronting and yes, controversial, it is a series which is incredibly moving and emotional, but above all, entertaining,” he said.

The series will premiere Tuesday, 2 February at 8.30pm.
