The New Zealand retirement village and aged care provider has announced it will be mandatory for all new staff at its 32 facilities to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Job applicants will be made aware of the requirement when they apply for a position.
Arvida said the move would safeguard its almost 5,000 residents, along with the already mandated annual flu shot.
Nurses from the company will be trained on how to administer the vaccine to the 2,500 strong work-force.
The vaccine will be free but it also won’t be mandatory for New Zealand citizens.
