NSW: Catholic Healthcare revises plans for $31M aged care facility at Lendlease village in Morpeth

As we covered here, the Not For Profit lodged the original application for the 108-bed facility a year ago, but a Joint Regional Planning Panel in July 2019 raised several concerns including state heritage, objections to the proposal, height and scale relationship. The new development – which includes six wings with 72 high care beds and 36 dementia-specific beds – includes the “adaptive reuse” of the heritage-listed Closebourne House, the former laundry, the former gym/chapel and Arkell House and integration of those buildings into the new facility.
