Nepean Police say that after investigation of the concerns raised in Monday’s piece by The Australian, they will not be taking the complaints further.
A family member had raised concerns with the local police, but they have determined that the complaint is an issue of care, rather than a criminal matter.
Echoing Aged Care Minister, Senator Richard Colbeck’s comments from last week, Anglicare reports that the vast majority of families are satisfied with the care being offered at Newmarch House.
There have also been no new confirmed cases at the aged care homes.
On Sunday, 40 residents and 95 staff were tested for COVID-19, with another 106 staff tested on Monday with all of these tests proving negative.
