A sign that developments are still going ahead amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pozieres House has been chosen as the name of the community provider’s latest 114-bed development at Umina Beach. The new three-storey building – which features specialist aged, palliative and dementia care units in separate ‘hubs’ and on separate floors to ensure continuity of care – replaces its existing 96-bed Jack Aldous House – one of its three homes in the region. As we covered here, Peninsula is also moving ahead on a $2 million plan to build affordable seniors’ housing in the area. The development is due to be finished later this year.
