Bicton aged care facility Braemar Gardens, 10km west of Perth CBD, is set to undergo a redevelopment to become two three-storey buildings after the redevelopment was approved by the Metro Central Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) last week.
The eastern half of the lot is set to have a three storey high-care building with 102 beds, two internal courtyards, a ground floor, cafe, physio and a chapel, while the western portion of the lot will have a three-storey building with 35 aged care suites for more independent residents.
The existing site has a combination of one- and two-storey buildings and has 55 high-care beds and 24 care suites.
