The City of Joondalup is seeking public comment for plans to develop a new supermarket at the Currambine site that the Not For Profit has earmarked for a retirement village. As we reported here, the West Australian government had given SCC WA the green light to develop age-in-place apartments and aged care beds at the Sunlander Drive site, located 30km north of Perth. Perth Now reports amendments would see part of the site used for a 2485sqm Coles Supermarket, 200sqm liquor store and 120sqm café. Submissions to council close on February 5.
