Queensland police seek retirement village construction site thieves

Police in Warwick, Queensland are on the hunt for at least two thieves who broke into a construction site at a retirement village earlier this month. The criminals stole a laptop and tools from inside a fenced-off construction zone at Oak Tree Retirement Village (pictured) in Warwick, in Queensland’s Southern Downs, on Sunday 10 October, using bolt cutters to get through the fence some time between 9:30 and 10pm. While the tools were recovered, having been dumped on a street not far from the site, the laptop and the perpetrators have yet to be found. Anyone with information on the break-in is being asked to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000, or Warwick police station at (07) 4660 4444.
