The two-storey building in the northeast Victorian town of Yackandandah is home to 16 aged care rooms upstairs and 10 apartments for people of any age downstairs. As we covered here, Yackandandah Health built the ‘multi-generational accommodation centre’ for $5.8 million with the aim of connecting residents with the community. Designed by JWP Architects from Wodonga and built by Joss Construction, the organisation now plans to open a new childcare centre on the site in 2019.
