Resthaven and Jewish Care the big winners at Australian Aged Care Quality Agency’s awards

Both operators have been honoured at the AACQA’s inaugural National Innovation and Excellence in Aged Care awards, a new higher tier that recognises innovative practices in aged care that represent ‘excellence’.

Resthaven was awarded for its Wellness and Reablement in Home Care model that helps their clients to stay living independently at home as long as possible.

Resthaven CEO Richard Hearn said: “We focus on wellness strategies to support people to maintain or regain their independence, goal setting with each person, and finding out what is important to them to improve their quality of life.”

Jewish Care Victoria also received the Commendation award for its customer satisfaction survey methodology that was developed four years ago by its Research Quality Innovation and Policy Unit.

This methodology is used to report on the client and resident experience of their range of services.
