Retirement Living by Lendlease shows how to create connected communities

Over 130 people from 14 villages contested Retirement Living by Lendlease’s annual regional bowls tournament at Mulgrave Bowls Club in Victoria on 30 March.

"With wellbeing critical in our villages, we’re creating a connected community where residents enjoy an active lifestyle and that was showcased. Villages across the portfolio offer a wide range of lifestyle, wellness, and social programs. Congratulations to our winning team, Abervale Retirement Village and the other villages who took part.” said Nathan Cockerill, Managing Director of Lendlease Retirement Living

The bowlers from Abervale Retirement Village in Grovedale, a southern suburb of Geelong, Vic, took out this year’s title. In true retirement village style, the event was for a worthy cause:  The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.  The annual tournament is open to all residents who play bowls at their villages. Lendlease owns 25.1% of 75 retirement villages under its Retirement Living brand after selling a further 25% of ownership to Aware Super for $490 million in March 2022. Aware Super now owns 49.9% of the Retirement Living division.
