RNs now FIFO workers all around Australia

The Australian arm of Global recruitment firm Randstad is advertising jobs for Registered Nurses (RNs) to work 'fly in fly out' (FIFO) positions, offering well-above-award rates of pay, cost of living discounts, and subsidised accommodation to attract workers. From Newcastle 160km north of Sydney to Peterborough 250km north of Adelaide, and Kin Kin 130km north of Brisbane, plus the Sydney western and southwestern suburbs of Parramatta and Campbelltown, Hobart, Brisbane, Perth, Alice Springs, and Melbourne, the positions are available right across the country. “Choose to work where you want,” at least one job advertisement states. Advertised rates of pay are up to $113 per hour, significantly above award rates, for 4-12 week contracts “or more”. Most of the RN roles require one year’s experience or experience within an aged care setting. 36 FIFO aged care jobs are advertised on the recruitment firm’s website. Applications require a Bachelor’s Degree, AHPRA registration, permission to work in Australia, police clearance, and be up to date with vaccinations. Randstad did not respond to requests for further information.
