RSL LifeCare has appointed experienced company director Ewen Crouch AM as its new Chairman. Ewen (above), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors has served on the boards of ASX-listed companies such as Westpac and BlueScope Steel as well as being a former partner and Chair of law firm Allens, commenced his duties on 28 October.
“It is a privilege to be invited to chair this organisation with its deep 110-year history in assisting veterans and to lead the governance of such an important contributor in the vital aged care sector,” he said.

Ewen also has experience in the Not For Profit Sector, including serving as a director and Chairman of Mission Australia and a director of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Outgoing Interim Chair Sangeeta Venkatesan (pictured) said Ewen strongly believes in and is committed to RSL LifeCare’s mission.
“The extensive governance experience Mr Crouch brings to RSL LifeCare is invaluable as we focus on the wellbeing of our veterans and creating connected, supportive and vibrant communities. “We are thrilled to have his skills and experience on the Board and ask you to join us in providing a very warm welcome,” she said.
