The Not For Profit is heading up an ambitious project to turn a 22,500sqm site opposite the Lyell McEwin Hospital in Elizabeth Vale, 22km north of the CBD, into a major development complete with health services, education, training and social housing.
The plans for the health and wellness precinct in the traditionally working-class area will be submitted to the local Council in January, with construction due to start in late 2017 and expected to take five years to complete.
The project will be double the size of ACHs recently announced plan to redevelop the Repatriation General Hospital site at Daw Park in Adelaide. That site, a joint venture with a consortium including Anglicare, Flinders University, RDNS. Healthscope and Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance, will boast a range of residential accommodation, plus health, educational, retail and research facilities.
Similarly, the Elizabeth Vale precinct will include consulting and allied health clinicians, training providers and accommodation operators, with the aim for the site to become a leading centre for health care innovation and technology.
A registration of interest is currently open for partners interested in being part of the project through Colliers International. Contact Justin Hazell at Colliers here.
